The Cobra is a refreshingly aggressive design from Himiway. The front fork is much the same as the shock. Himiway really took the name to heart with the paint jobs. Himiway uses the same frame for its mid-drive Cobra and the hub-driven Cobra we reviewed, so theres a small cover by the cranks where that mid-drive motor goes. The Bafang M620 motor isnt just a powerhouse, its a fairly refined powerhouse. My skepticism is rooted in the fact that this is Himiways first full suspension e-bike, they likely do not have much experience designing suspension systems and, to be totally frank, a full suspension e-bike at this price point is very hard to pull off. The downsides that Himiway users report include hard-to-understand written build instructions (though this is mitigated by a brilliant video on Himiways website which makes assembly a breeze), and some down-market components which reveal how Himiway has made such affordable e-bikes. The Himiway Cobra comes stock with a set of hydraulic disk brakes, an upgrade over the mechanical disk brakes we saw on the old Himiway Cruiser.
